Right of withdrawal

Consumers purchasing online in the European Union may withdraw from their purchase without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to the exceptions provided by law. This also applies to pre-owned and vintage items.

To exercise this right, send a clear statement to info@thegizeye.com before the deadline. Please include your name, order number and the item concerned. You may use the model below, but this is not compulsory. We will provide return instructions; exercising your statutory right does not depend on our approval.

Send the goods back without undue delay and within 14 days of communicating your withdrawal. For a change-of-mind return, you pay the direct return shipping costs where these have been disclosed before purchase. For bulky goods, the applicable return cost must be disclosed before purchase. Costs that we were legally required to disclose but did not disclose are borne by us.

Protecting the condition of vintage pieces

Please return the item with its accessories and documentation, and keep any tags, protective packaging and dust bags where possible. Pack it securely, particularly fragile objects.

You may inspect an item as you would in a shop to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Wearing, using, washing, altering or damaging it beyond that necessary inspection may cause a reduction in value. Where permitted by law, we may deduct the actual, substantiated loss of value from the refund. We do not apply an automatic restocking or payment-processing fee.

Damages, defects or incorrect items

Please inspect your order on arrival. If you notice a problem, we kindly ask you to email info@thegizeye.com within the first 24 hours after delivery if possible, with your order number, photographs of the issue and packaging, and a short description. Early reporting helps us investigate promptly.

This 24-hour request is not a deadline for exercising your legal rights. Reporting later does not remove your statutory rights for faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or non-conforming goods. We will arrange an appropriate remedy and cover the costs required by law.

Exceptions

Only exceptions permitted by applicable law apply, such as goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Being second-hand, discounted, rare, collectible, furniture, ceramic or glass does not by itself exclude the statutory right of withdrawal. A “Final Sale” label does not override mandatory consumer rights.

Refunds

For a statutory withdrawal, we reimburse payments, including the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option, within 14 days of being informed of your decision. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or evidence that you sent them back, whichever occurs first. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without refund fees. Any lawful deduction for diminished value will be explained.
